So I’m working on a bible study for the Circuit Winkel Bible Study Series. Â My topic is “Shepherding Through the Contradictions.” Â As I am thinking through this project, I would love some input.
- What are the contradictions that a pastor faces every day?
- What are the contradictions his people face every day? Â How are they the same or different?
- What does it mean to “Shepherd Through” them?
Those are just a few of my initial questions. Â What are yours?
Don’t know if this is what you are looking for, but the biggest contradiction I face every day is the sinner/shepherd one. You are Christ’s undershepherd for his people and yet just the same sinner as are they. Understanding this contradiction and how it shapes or affects ministry is important for pastor and congregation. You are expected to be “Holy” and human at the same time. hope this helps.
